Today’s feature is our sorority sister Tiffany. Her beautiful hair is almost waist length. As hard as it is to believe her inner beauty actually outshines the outward! Catch up with the gorgeous Tiffany below:
When did you decide to go natural and why?
I went natural in 2004. Initially it was because I was a college student and didn’t have time or money to get relaxers. I had about 2 inches of new growth and didn’t have any issues straightening it. This was a little before the days of it being an “I am woman, hear me roar” movement to go natural. I just wanted the most minimal approach to doing my hair. I thought to myself, “why get them if I don’t need them?” That was the end of that!
Howdy peoples! While we were at home [in good ol North Cackalacky] celebrating the holidays, we had the opportunity to take some awesome photos and shoot a video with our friend Reginald Peterson II, 1/16th Media Productions LLC.
First we headed to the Mac Cosmetics Counter at Belk’s because let’s face it …. we girls looove to get all prettied up lol. We had an appointment with lovely make up artists Jade and Amber. They were extremely friendly, professional, and had us looking RIGHT!
Soooooo I kept my braids in for four and a half weeks. YAY! Set a new record lol and guys it was just what I needed, a nice break from dealing with my real hair on a daily basis! Matter of fact, I probably should’ve kept them in for a bit longer lol. I loved the braids because I was able to wear them in so many different styles like this bun or one huge braid that I pinned to my hair. I washed them once with Shea Butter Shampoo and made sure to oil my scalp with jojoba oil every other day.
Hey Loves, I just wanted to share with you an additional hairstyle option that I will be taking advantage of this fall/winter. As you all know I love tracks because I can play around with different styles without messing with my real hair. Well I decided to make a “U” Part wig a few weeks ago and boy oh boy has it extremely come in handy!
I attended Taren Guy’s Luv and Learn Your Hair event in DC this past Wednesday at Midtown Partyplex. The meet and greet was a great time and was sponsored by Motions. The first hour consisted of a happy hour where guests mingled, enjoyed drinks, and enjoyed the vendors that were present.
Unfortunately, I am still a product junkie and I still have memberships to several natural hair boxes lol. The October CurlKit box was awesome! It was the Alikay Natural Takeover box featuring Alikay Natural products, an all natural line. I received:
