Now mind you this is the first time that I’ve had my hair braided since middle school LOL. I searched online and once I found some inspiration, I went to my cousin’s wife Tifu at Sparkle Sister Braids and had her braid my hair.
While my hair is braided its important that I continue to take care of my hair by keeping my scalp and hair moisturized.
I found the following helpful tips from Black Women Beauty Central:
- Use braid spray and light oils daily to keep them moist and prevent an itchy scalp.
- Don’t wear super tight braids. Traction alopecia is a serious problem and can destroy your hairline.
- Wash your hair with a stocking cap over it to prevent fuzziness.
Sleep with a silk or satin scarf tied around your braids at night to keep them smooth, frizz and lint free. What are you doing with your hair this fall?
